Who We Are

  • James M. Curry - Owner, Creative Director

James Michael Curry is the owner of Mindfile Multimedia and an award-winning creative director and director of photography.

In 1994, he began his career as the first staff videographer of a small video production and design firm in Tampa, Florida. That firm was responsible for numerous nationally broadcast television productions and quickly grew to staff over twenty production professionals. One of his primary roles was as a principal videographer for the award winning wildlife series, Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures.

In 2002, James relocated to New York City. There he began as staff videographer for a fledgling production facility owned by a Washington D.C. based production and design firm. Within a year, he was offered the opportunity to lead the development and daily operations of the New York studio. After piloting nearly six years of aggressive growth that led to a doubling of annual revenues, he left the firm; and in 2008, he founded Mindfile Multimedia, Inc.

Armed with an energetic and unflagging enthusiasm for creative discovery, his professional and creative sights are firmly set on developing Mindfile Multimedia into a multi-disciplinary production and design studio; one that not only provides its clients with the most modern and proficient production support, but also enhances the aesthetic design of their productions.

  • Adam Hamer - Director of Photography, Photographer

Adam Hamer is both a photographer and director of photography. Both our clients and our staff value his dedicated and assiduous approach to every production. But, it is his passion for technical innovation and creative visual design that makes him truly successful.

He began nurturing his passions and developing his skills as a photographer over twenty years ago while working for a regional newspaper serving the southeast of the United Kingdom. His images captured all areas of daily life from world sport to human interest and editorial.

After moving to the United States in 1994, he began his career in broadcast production. His credits include work as a DP and videographer for productions ranging from industrial videos for companies such as Lockheed Martin to broadcast high definition programming for networks such as PBS, ABC, The History Channel, Discovery Networks and the National Geographic Channel. While his professional efforts extend beyond the set to include project management and client development, he still finds time for his other life passions including an avid love of mountain biking, snowboarding and traveling with his wife and son.
